Bio

Before I had a name for it, I was chosen. Ephesians 1:4–5 (YLT): God did “choose us in him before the foundation of the world… having foreordained us to the adoption of sons through Jesus Christ to Himself.” I didn’t drift into the family. I was placed in it, on purpose, before there was a world to place me in.

Romans 8:15–17 carries that adoption further than Ephesians does. “Ye did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye did receive a spirit of adoption in which we cry, ‘Abba — Father.’ The Spirit himself doth testify with our spirit, that we are children of God; and if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ.” Not a status declared once and left alone — the Spirit keeps testifying to it.

That adoption remade me. “If any one is in Christ — he is a new creature; the old things did pass away, lo, become new have the all things” (2 Corinthians 5:17). And because Christ bore what I owed: “there is, then, now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

That’s the ground I work from — not proving worth, but living out of one already given.
